HAL AMCA :-INDIA'S 5 GENERATION STEALTH FIGHTER PROGRAMME


HAL AMCA :-INDIA'S NEXT GENERATION AIRCRAFT PROGRAMME. 
THE HAL ADVANCED MEDIUM COMBAT AIRCRAFT(AMCA) IS A FIFTH GENERATION FIGHTER PROGRAMME OF INDIA .IT IS BEING DEVELOPING BY INDIAN AEROSPACE INDUSTRY NAMED ADA(AERONAUTICAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY) AND DRDO(DEFENSE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPING ORGANISATION) AS THE DESIGN FIRM WITH MANUFACTURING PROCEED BY HAL(HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED).THIS PROGRAMME IS THE FIGHTER PROGRAMME OF INDIA .CURRENTLY THE PROJECT IS IN UNDER DEVELOPMENT STAGE.BASICALLY THIS PROGRAM WAS STARTED TO DEVELOP OWN FIGHTER JET WHICH CAN FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS OF IAF(INDIAN AIR FORCE).INDIAN AIR FORCE IS THE GUARDIANS OF INDIAN SKIES.THEY HAVE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES ON THEIR SHOULDER .THEIR TASK IS TO PROTECT THE MOTHERLAND LAND INDIA FROM INCOMING ENEMIES.FOR THAT TASK IAF NEED A ADVANCE FIGHTER WHICH CAN FULFILL EACH AND EVERY REQUIREMENT OF IAF. BASICALLY HAL AMCA IS DESIGNED FOR AIR SUPERIORITY,GROUND ATTACK,BOMBING,INTERCEPTION ,STRIKING AND OTHER MULTIPLE ROLES.THIS FIGHTER WILL BE MOST ADVANCED AND STEALTH FIGHTER OF THIS ERA.IT IS SINGLE SEAT ,TWIN-ENGINE,STEALTH ALL WEATHER MULTI-ROLE FIGHTER AIRCRAFT.AS PER THE LATEST MEDIA REPORTS THE FIGHTER IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT STAGE.THE DESIGN OF FIGHTER IS READY TILL DATE AND IT'S DESIGN AND MODEL IS ALSO SEEN IN THE DEFENSE EXPO 2018
WHICH WAS BASICALLY A TRADING FARE INCREASE EXPORT OF
DEFENSE EQUIPMENT'S  TO OTHER COUNTRY .THE DEFENSE 2018 WAS INAUGURATED BY OUR LOVELY AND ALL TIME FAVORITE
PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA SHRI NARENDRA MODI JI.THE FIRST FLIGHT OF HAL AMCA IS SCHEDULED FOR 2025.  


Ø Hal amca can also be said as the derivate of Russian fifth generation fighter named su-57.as per the experts amca will be fitted by two gtx Kaveri engines in it. Gtre gtx Kaveri engine is afterburning turbofan engine which  generates dry thrust of 52 kn(kilo newton) and after burner max .power thrust is 81kn9kilo newton).gtre gtx Kaveri engine is in it’s development stage which trails are conducted in 2019.kaveri engine is an Indian programme initially started  by a special branch of drdo named (gtre) gas turbine research establishment, which was further joint ventured by French company snecma .if all goes well then induction of Kaveri engine into hal amca will be completed till end of December ,2023.



 Ã˜ Hal amca combines with super cruise, stealth, advanced aesa radar, super maneuverability and advanced avionics to overcome and suppress previous generation fighter aircraft along with many ground and maritime defense. after final operational clearance it’s primary users will be Indian army and Indian air force. It will complement hal tejas, su-30mki, rafale in air force service and hal naval tejas and mig-29kin naval service. The amca is intended to be successor to jaguar, mirage-2000 and mig-27 in Indian air force.




*DEVELOPMENT:-
THE AMCA PROJECT IS EVOLVED FROM MCA PROJECT WHICH WAS STARTED IN  OCOTOBER 2008 ,TO REPLACE THE DIFFERENT TYPE OF EXISTING FIGHTERS WHICH INCLUDES DASSAULT MIRAGE 2000 , SEPECAT JAGUAR AND MIG-27.THE IAF ASKED ADA TO PREPARE A DETAILED PROJECT REPORT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF MCA INCORPORATING STEALTH FEATURES.IN FUBRUARY,ADA DIRECTOR Dr.PS SUBRAMANYAM SAID AT AERO INDIA 2009 SEMINAR THAT THEY WERE WORKING CLOSING WITH IAF REQURIMENTS .THEY TOLD THAT ACCORDING TO IAF REQURIMENTS MCA PROGRAMME FIGHTER WEIGHTS 20-TONS AND WOULOD BE POWERED BY INDIGINEOUS TWO GTX KAVERI ENGINES.
IN MARCH 2010, THE PROJECT WAS RENAMED AS MCA TO ADVANCED MCA(AMCA).in april,2010 the air chief issued the air staff requirements(asr)for amca WHICH PLACED THE FIGHTER INTO 25-TON CATEGORY.THE FIRST PROTOTYPE AIRCRAFT WAS SCHEDULED FOR TESTING IN YEAR 2017 BUT DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS THE PROGRAMME DELAED TO 2025.IN OCTOBER INDIAN GOVT. CABINET RELEASED 100 CRORES FOR INITIAL STUDIES ON IT FOR A TIME SPAN OF 18 MONTHS.IN NOVEMBER 2010,THE ADA SOUGHT US$2 BILLION OF FUNDING FOR DEVELOPMEENT OF AMCA.THE FUNDING WAS FOR THE TWO TYPES OF AMCA THE AERIAL AND NAVAL VERSION WITH SEVEN PROTOTYPES.THE INITIAL DEVELOPMENT COST IS ESTIMATED APPROX. US$ 1 BILLION TO BUILT 3-4 PROTOTYPES.


 * DESIGN OF AMCA MODEL: -

 Ã˜ THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN WAS CARRIED OUR TILL 2015, AT WHICH THE GENERAL CONFIGURATION WAS FROZEN. TEN DESIGNS PROPOSALS WERE EVALUATED ON PRACTICAL BASED INDUCTIONS.

 Ã˜ FIVE DESIGNS EMERGES AFTER WIND TUNNEL TESTING.AS THE AMCA WAS TO BE SUPERSONIC SPEED AIRCRAFT SO IT’S MAIN STRENGTH WILL BE PROVIDE BY IT’S DESIGN.TO PREVENT CAUGHT FROM THE RADARS THE SIZE WAS NOT TOO BIG, SO FINAL CONSIDERATION CAME INTO ACT IN 2015. PROPOSALS WITH A TAIL IN AIRCRAFT WERE DESIGNATED WITH A SERIAL NO-3B-01 TO 3B-09.

 Ã˜ AMCA FINAL CONCEPT WAS COMPLETED AND SHOWN TO IAF BY 2012, AFTER WHICH A FULL-SCALE DEVELOPMENT ON THIS PROJECT WAS STARTED.IN AERO INDIA 2013, ADA UNVEILED A 1:8 SCALE MODEL.


 Ã˜ THE DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF AIRCRAFT IS CARRIED OUT BY FOUR TYPES OF FIRMS: -
1.  DESIGN TEAM - ADA WAS INTENDED AS THE PRIME DESIGNER AND DEVELOPER OF AIRCRAFT.
2.  CORE TEAM -DRDO AGENCIES CARRYING OUT PRIMARY DEVELOPMENT WORK OF AMCA.
3.  EXTERNAL AGENCIES -VARIUOS IIT’S, NIT’S, UNIVERSITIESAND OTHER BOTH FIRMS OF BOTH DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN ORIGIN.
4.  MANUFACTURING TEAM – HAL (HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED) FOR ASSEMBLER AND MANUFACTURERS.



 Ã˜     PROTYPE: -

IN JANUARY 2019, TWO TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATORS AND FOUR PROTOYPES ARE SCHEDULED TO GO UNDER VARIOUS TYPE OF TESTINGS, ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT DURING TESTING PHASE.
